Drying effect on damp walls

Our product is a pulverous, highly surface active additive having a twofold effect in the mortar. Due to effect of the mixing water, the additive cases a thin hydrophobic film over each building grain, wich makes the plaster water-repellent after drying.

As a result of the additive, the diameter of the mico air-pore in the mortar grows, each bubble changes into a transitory, open pore with hydrophpbic surface, the diameter of wich is lot of times bigger than of a capillary pore and its amount is 35-45% after drying.

As a result of the pore-size and the treated surface, the water can permeate through the plaster only in the form of vapour; the inner loose stucture of the plaster constantly remains dry, so the SO42-, NO3- and Cl- anions present in the wall in the form of a iluted solution cannot get into the plaster. Salification can be prevented. Thanks to this feature of the plaster, the pores never salify.
When plastering cellars without proper airing, two or three days after plastering an intensive water-sweating can be noticed. In several days quite an amount of water leaves the walls.
Duration of drying depending on the moisture-content of walls:

  • 4-8 days in case of two-sided airing ith ascending walls

  • 4-12 days in the case of one-sided airing with base courses
10-30 days in the case of sligh airing in cellars
